Southwest Missouri State University’s College of Natural and Applied Sciences (CNAS) announces the establishment of a campus arboretum as part of the celebration of the Centennial.

To introduce this achievement, Dr. Michelle Bowe from the Department of Biology and her students will be giving walking botanical tours of campus identifying its beautiful trees and especially highlighting the 100 Centennial trees.

The Graduating Class of 2004, along with the Centennial Steering Committee, contributed funds for arboretum labels for 100 trees in the southeast section of campus.

Participants in this centennial activity are encouraged to first visit the Mapping the past event in Temple 307 to view the virtual arboretum, historical campus maps and to pick up maps of the campus trees.

Come prepared for any type of weather!
