Enrolling in an Missouri State Blackboard Course Site

 

Before you

log in for the first time

You must have an NT account in order to use Missouri State Blackboard.  If you don’t have an NT account, present your ZipCard at one of three open-access computer labs:  Cheek Hall 150, Glass Hall 228, 229,234,235, or Public Affairs Classroom Building 107 to obtain one.

Set your password

Go to Missouri State Blackboard 5 entry page at http://iclass.missouristate.edu

 

Your Blackboard user name is the same as your NT account.  You must set your own password before you log in for the first time.  To do so, follow the steps below:

 

  1. Click the “Forgot your password?” link on the entry page

  2. When prompted, enter your name and user name (same as your NT account) and click the “Submit” button.

  3. Check your Missouri State e-mail account immediately for instructions on how to set your Blackboard password.

  4. Click on the URL provided in the e-mail message to access the web page to change your password.

  5. Type in the password you’d like to use and click the “Submit” button.

  6. Verify your information and click “OK.”  Blackboard will take you to the “My Institution” page.

Find your course

and enroll

At the “My Institution” page,

 

  1. Click the “Courses” tab to access the “Courses” area.

  2. Click “Browse Course Catalog” under “Course Catalog” to access the catalog.

  3. Type your course code in the search box, then click the “GO!” button, or click on the first letter of you course code under “Alphabetical Listing by Course Codes,” then click on the three-letter course code.

  4. Find your course in the listing and click the “Enroll” button to the right of the course title.

  5. Check the course information, enter the access code if your instructor gave you one, and click the “Submit” button to add your name to the course site roster.

  6. Click “OK” to access your course.

Access your course

To access your course after the first time, go to the Missouri State Blackboard Entry page at http://iclass.missouristate.edu

 

  1. Click the “Login” button and use your user name and password to log in.

  2. Click the title of a course under “My Courses” to access it.
