Tips for success

  • If you want to teach dual credit courses, you will need 18 graduate hours in a science discipline. Consider the graduate certificate in science content (accelerated option) to achieve that requirement.
  • Teacher certification requires a 2.75 GPA overall and 3.0 GPA in science and math courses.
  • You must have a minimum 2.0 GPA in courses for your major (biology) and minor.
    • Other requirements include: 40 hours in upper-level courses (300 level or above).
